Mediation
Patrick Mullins, Partner, within the firm, is a CEDR accredited mediator.The firm is therefore in a position to offer a mediation service between disputing parties for the purposes of facilitating a compromise and a settlement.
Mediation is an alternative form of dispute resolution which enables the parties to move towards a settlement, of their own volition. Mediation eliminates a substantial amount of legal cost. Mediation also avoids disappointment to the parties in relation to a decision of either an arbitrator or a Judge which can sometimes leave neither party happy.
Mediation affords each party an opportunity to voice their concerns and issues and to engage constructively with a view to achieving a settlement.
Patrick Mullins is in a position to offer his services as a mediator in relation to such disputes, provided that the firm is not acting currently in the dispute under litigation
Furthermore, the firm offers legal representation in mediations before an alternate mediator on behalf of clients. Mediation is a fast growing means for alternative for dispute resolution and shall soon become compulsory in all forms of litigation in the Republic of Ireland.
